Until you’ve been to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indianapolis 500, it’s difficult to fully realize the phrase “The Greatest Spectacle…”. The in-person experience that is the Indy 500 is something longstanding and coveted; something that you realize pretty quickly as you first wander the streets of Speedway, Indiana on race weekend, striking up conversation with individuals, friends, families who have been visiting this race for decades. This event means something. The environment is like no other in motorsport–no single event we have visited as a group is quite like this. The on-track product delivers lap-by-lap. There is no slackening in the flow of adrenaline as an observing motorsport fan. Every lap is terrifying, exhilarating–the example of bravery and talent that some of the top drivers in the world might never attempt. The simple conclusion is this: since our first visit to this historic race, it doesn’t matter how we make it happen–we are resolved to be there every year.

For a modest third year in a row, The Into The Apex Podcast, representing The Into The Apex Motorsport Podcast Network, is heading to Indiana for the 107th Indianapolis 500. ITA Hosts Tyler and Bradley Beamon will be joined by Indy staple Cody Richardson for a road show live from Daredevil Brewery, our longtime destination for drinks and recording, located just outside of IMS and next to AJ Foyt Racing and the Dallara IndyCar factory. The pitchers of beer will be flowing on the Saturday before raceday, and for those around the world preparing for the Indy 500, the ITA Motorsport Podcast Network will be on the ground to bring the real-time feel of this historic event.
