The Into The Apex Podcast kicked off Summer 2022 with IndyCar, reporting from Barber and The 106th Indy 500. Coming up next, we return to SportsCar paddocks for the first time since the Rolex 24. ITA On The Road will be all over the Eastern United States over the next few weeks, bringing everyone along for the experiences.

Virginia International Raceway

On Saturday, June 18, ITA will return to the North Carolina based show’s home track, the beautiful VIR, for the SRO’s GT/GT4/TC America action. The SRO Series and VIR alike bring out the best in SportsCar racing enthusiasts, where it’s always a pleasure to run into and talk to fellow paddock dwellers and travelers. The ITA Crew will be heading to the Operation Motorsport Patriot Car Corral early on Saturday–look for that Hyundai Elantra N!

6HRS of The Glen

The following weekend, ITA will be heading back to Watkins Glen, NY for the IMSA Endurance Cup Round at WGI. This year, the show is doing it right, with frequent 4th mic and MAD Sim Racing Endurance Director Bruce Perry returning to co-host. The Into The Aped “Mobile Command Center” is prepped, a proper RV that will be posted up behind the Jackie Stewart Grand Stand inside the course. ITA listeners will join the crew in real time during a cook-out inside Watkins Glen, close to the paddock.

IndyCar at Mid-Ohio

Tragedy canceled the ITA Crew’s visit to Mid-Ohio in early May, but we can’t be kept away from this wonderful road course in rural Ohio. The show will be on the ground on Qualifying Saturday and RaceDay Sunday for the NTT IndyCar Series at Mid-Ohio. After a low-power show at Barber, we’ll see who we might be able to chat with in the Paddock, and share the experience from the turn one hill.

Karting Development Live

The cherry on top of this marathon of road shows, ITA hosts Bradley & Tyler will visit Pro Kart Concepts at Pittsburgh International Race Complex for a day of fast outdoor Karting and coaching. IMSA Michelin Pilot driver Luca Mars, a talent in anything fast, is slated to join the first half of the show live from Pittsburgh International, followed by some Kart testing and perhaps a little competition, courtesy of Pro Kart Concepts. ITA listeners will then be able to hear the full debrief of the day’s action from ShuBrew Brewery. You won’t want to miss this episode.
