Sebring Salute to Operation Motorsport
MAD Sim Racing Endurance is excited to bring back the Operation Motorsport livery driven in the 2021 Virtual Spa 24 on a Mercedes AMG GT3, this time worn on a Porsche GTD in the upcoming iRacing Sebring 12HRS. MAD Sim Racing and Into The Apex have had the privilege of supporting Operation Motorsport since last summer, which included the nail-biting 4 Hours of The Glen fundraising event in September, 2021.
Operation Motorsport is an organization with the mission to engage, through motorsport, medically retiring or retired Service Members affected by military service, aiding in their recovery. Operation Motorsport beneficiaries have opportunities with real-world racing teams, embedding into the collaborative environment of a professional motorsport team; and also opportunities to compete virtually on iRacing, with the camaraderie that comes with regular, familiar competition. We have seen each of these programs working up close and personally, during our visits to IMSA and SRO events, and while participating in the OPEN Class in the Operation eMotorsport iRacing Series.

MAD Sim Racing/Into The Apex Founders Bradley and Tyler Beamon will be joined in the MSR Endurance Supported Porsche by Hunter Reeve, a US Army Veteran and Operation Motorsport Beneficiary, who recently competed in the Operation eMotorsport iRacing League. Hunter is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario. Hunter joined thte US Army in 2011 as an OH-58 Mechanic/Crew Chief, and was stationed in Ft. Drum, New York, and spent nine months in Korea. He held the rank of Sergeant and was medically discharged in 2017. Hunter has always loved racing – his mom has a photo of him around 2 years old glued to the Indy 500 — and will watch any type of motorsport given the time. Hunter joined iRacing in 2016, racing off-and-on until 2018. “I love doing the endurance events,” Hunter comments “they are a lot of fun because you get to work with your team to do as well as possible.”
It means a lot to have Hunter co-driving with us in this effort. It has been our goal to welcome in an Opmo beneficiary in much the way real sportscar teams have. in the virtual racing world, we can offer an established endurance program that has a ton of fun collaborating as a team for these major sim races.
-Team Co-Owner Tyler Beamon
The virtual Porsche team will have the benefit of professional setup engineering from team sponsor Coach Dave Academy, and the support of the full MAD Sim Racing Endurance field of drivers – between them holding 8 major endurance victories, including wins in each of the last three iRacing Special Events.
